For my Preliminary task i had to include a match on action shot, 180 degree shot and a shot reverse shot. Match on action is shown first; this is where, for instance, take a shot of someone leaning in to a door handle, then the next shot would be a close up up the and opening the door and the next shot would be taken from the opposite side of the door with the person walking into the room, one of the examples we have used for match on action in this video is when; the shot cuts to
linking shot, almost seamlessly, having the hand reaching her shoulder then it cuts to a a extreme close up of
her actually making contact with her shoulder.
Having the low angled camera shot in the video creates an enigma because the audience dont know who
the person's feet are and where they are walking until the next shot is shown.
. 180 degree shot and shot reverse shot link into each other because when you film two people talking and want it to be an overhead shoulder you need to make sure you always stay on the left side of the persons shoulder to make sure it wont look like they are talking to themselves; this is the 180 degree rule. The shot reverse shot is when you keep the whole conversations using the 180 degree rue and having it bounce from one to the other. you cannot cross the
imaginary 180 degree line or it would confuse the audience watching
