Antagonist auditions

We decided to audition some people that were keen to be the male antagonist because we weren't sure who would be able to perceive the role believably. We only got two people to audition which made it easier for us to choose one of them that fits better for the role we needed; we needed someone tall male so they would look dominant compared to the victim as stereotypically males are a lot more powerful. Ben was the taller one out of both of them so he already had benefits before he even started to audition, he also seemed a lot more interested in the role and entertained and made us laugh which makes us feel that he would be easier to work with when filming his scene. We ended up using Ben as the main antagonist because of his characteristics and confidence to take on any emotion, and although he found it difficult to do some of the accents we challenged him with, he kept trying until he got it right, showing he is determined and hard working.

The reason we didn't use Mason as the main antagonist is because at this time we hadn't yet decided on which film idea we wanted to go ahead with, so we didn't want to take any chances on us needing a taller more dominant looking individual. Although Mason was more confident when he was showing us he could do each accent, it is unlikely the antagonist will even talk in our movie because we wont want to give too much away on who he really is because it's is only the first two minutes of the film, which means the accents weren't necessary although we didn't know this at the time of the auditions.

Doing these auditions gave us a better understanding on the way the look of the actor can determine how real their performance will look on camera. It also gave us a chance to experience how auditions work and why some are done in certain ways which may help us in later life. The auditioning process was also fun to be involved in and was a fairer way to decide upon who would play the part better

Questionnaire Results.

Question 1 - Where would you expect the horror film to be set? This question was a good thing to have because it let us know where the good places for us to set our films is and where we shouldn't set our film. A hospital was the least popular. This allowed us to not set our film here and potentially gain a few more viewers. The one that was most liked was an Abandoned Building; although we did jot choose this for our film to be set t was a good option for us. The woods was liked as well and this is where we chose to set our film. It is a good place because it seems creepy and can relate into mundane realism as most people have woods near or around them which makes the vibe for the film even scarier.
Question 2 - Do you prefer male or female actors in the film? As horror films are mainly targeted at a male target audience; we think this is why the majority wanted to see more females in the film as men would use them a sex objects and would most probably prefer to watch someone who they find attractive and a good actor compared to just a good actor. However  20% still wanted to see males in there; this is because they would still want to be n the film so that they could link themselves into the film and relate to mundane realism and could pretend that it is them next to the female actors which they are using a sex objects.
Question 3- What is your favorite genre of film out of the following? Horror was the most popular attraction which helped us make a easy decision as to what genre of film we wanted to choose. Although Horror was our initial idea this helped us make the final conclusion.
 Question 4
Question 4 - Do you feel different sounds and music build tension and suspense? This question was to tell us when to bring our music soundtracks in to build tension, which this question tell us that the audience would want the music to build up the tension as they feel as though this helps the film have scary factors in the scenes of our opening scenes. We will have to ensure that we have music in our film to ensure tension is building throughout the film, and we have to make sure that they suit the scene which they will be assigned to through the editing stages.
Question 5- Out of the following, which is your favorite horror film?Following the previous question, this one is to see what type of horror film our audience prefer from gore (which is the Saw film), to supernatural (Paranormal Activity). This shows that a supernatural film is the most preferable film, however Scream is not far behind. This suggests that we should have some paranormal elements in it to appeal to the audience but also involve murder, which could be present at the end of the feel so suspense can be build throughout the two minutes.
Question 6 - What do you expect from a horror film? This film is similar to the previous question but is more to the point as this justifies what the audience would like to see in the film. From our results you can see that they expect a murder in a horror film or some sort of death. In second place was paranormal, which emphasises the popularity of this being in horrors as this was again popular in the previous question. This means that we should either have murder or paranormal in our film.
Question 7-  Which film title appeals to you the most? This question is all about the title of our film, which may or may not definitely be used, but these are they ones which have appealed to us so far. As you can see our results show that the name 'HiJack' is most preferred, which is fairly effective as it can be associated with someone being taken, but also could be a characters name. However these names may not be used meaning we may have to send out another questionnaire or ask this question again n the future, to ensure all our audience likes the name of our film.

Question 8-  How many horror films do you watch monthy? This question is to see how much they watch horrors, which would tell us how much they know about horrors and what they would expect. This also tell us if their other response are valid as they watch various horrors so would know what to expect from one and what would be good to include in the opening

Script for film.

The main protagonist character will be walking through the woods on her own, which would create a little enigma on where she has been. The establishing would be of the girl's back, which then she begins to walk away, blurring the shot as she does so. Although there will be no word spoken through most of it there will be sound effects like twigs breaking and bushes shaking on top of some tension building music. Suddenly she would hear a snap of a twig, which makes the protagonist say 'Hello?'. No responds. She begins to a walk fast, drastically darting her eyes from place to place; this will create tension in the audience and creates an enigma as they will want to know who is there. As she is not concentrating on where she is going she stumbles and cuts her hand, deeply. She grasps hand and gasps. There's a noise, not from a twig snapping, but a screech. She pulls herself up and begins running, as her bloody hand drips blood as a trail.

When she arrives home she slowly walks to the door, as it is slightly open. She opens the door slowly and says 'Hello?' Again there is no response. She enters and take her shoes and coat off keeping eye contact with the top of the stairs as she just realises that the upstairs bathroom light is on. She slowly ascends the stairs and pushes open the door, but there is no one in the room. She closes the door behind her and begins washing the cut on her hand.
Suddenly, there is a bang outside her bathroom door. She cautiously opens it only looking out with one eye. There was nothing there. She slams the door and locks it quickly, reassuring herself it was nothing. She turns back to the skin and washes her face, thinking she is just tired and needs more sleep. When she lifts her head up again, the antagonist is standing behind her. She screams as the title transition quickly on stage, with the girl's scream echoing in the background

Diary Of filming/editing.

23rd November:
2.00pm - Met up at the house where the filming will take place to discuss the filming and costume ideas.
3.00pm - Completed makeup and outfit on protagonist.
3.30pm - Left to go to the woods to film.
4.00pm - Begin to film.
5.30pm - Left woods due to it getting too dark to film.
6.00pm - Got home and discussed other filming dates

Filming was tricky on this day as we felt unexperienced and the sun went down too fast for us to capture anything good, but it was good we did meet up to discuss and experiment when filming so we will know what and how to do things when we next film. The only down side is that our protagonist might not be able to attend the next filming due to collage/work.

Representation and stereotyping in our film.

Characters in our film have been represented by mise-en-scene in particular ways to make sure that certain characteristics of people come through the film to make sure the audience view then in a particular way.
One of the main characters (the girl) has been represented through mise-en-scene in clothing by wearing innocent clothes. The clothes that we have got the girl to wear is a plain white top; this shows innocence and purity, meaning the audience will see her as vulnerable and not able to defend for herself. She is also wearing plain blue jeans. This shows her as not being different which means that the audience can see her as not being very good at anything particular and makes her seem even more vulnerable. She has blonde hair and blue eyes which is seen as a girl who is quite dumb and known as a  "Blonde girl" This makes it seem like she wouldn't know what to do in a bad situation and wouldn't have a chance to get away. She lives in a normal village and her home does look homely which makes the audience link it into their own homes meaning they have used mundane realism.

Another stereotype we have used in our film is the typical murderer. We have used the clothing side of mise-en-scene by dressing him in a suit like jacket and plain black trousers. We are also covering his face with a brown bag but having the eyes cut out. This makes the audience feel on edge as they can not see his identity. This therefore creates the usual stereotype of a murderer in films as they rarely have there faces shown. However it subverts the stereotype of the murderer wearing fairly normal clothes as you would usually associate a murderer to be wearing all black to be able to hide from people around them. However dressing the murderer in normal clothes hides him in the middle of everyone around him making him hard to find and even more creepy as it sends a message across meaning that anyone can be a murderer and hiding behind crowds of people. We have made the murderer target a normal blond and vulnerable girl which links into mundane realism as it will target the young girls who are like her feel even more scared as they will imagine them as that character in the film.It will also make people stereotype others who wear the sort of clothes we are having the murderer wear to be a criminal.

How to make cuts? - Online tutorial.

I found this video on Youtube. I have taken it because; it shows a good and effective way to make cuts which we can add to the antagonists hand and so on. This makes him look like he has been in fights and it then creates the enigma of him killing other people before the person who he is focused on at that moment. We would be able to apply these cuts up his arm and on his hands. We would not apply it to his face because we already have a mask applied to his face which means you would not be able to see the cuts on his face.

How to make our vulnerable girl look innocent with makeup.

During this video we are shown how to not over do the makeup which allows the main character in our film look vulnerable therefore more of an easy target for the antagonist. To go with this makeup we will make her clothes look sweet and innocent as well. We will do this by using the stereotype of the colour pink on her clothes as girls who wear pink are usually seen as a girly girl type who cannot do anything for herself. The girl who is our main character is also blonde and the stereotype of a blonde girl is usually quite dumb and cant do much for herself. We are trying to make her seem as vulnerable as we can so that the audience know she is the main target.

Own film treatment.

For this we have taken a video to show you what our film treatment invloves. We have spoken about what will happen during the beginning, middle and end. We then edited it on movie maker to cut out the bits we didnt need.

Opening Titles Analysed.

This was our initial idea; we liked how it was clear however had a creepy an scary effect to it as it looked a little pix-elated and had a few white scratches going across some of the letters. It also look quite formal which made us decide that we wanted our final idea to look formal and not tacky to make sure it attracts the right audience and suits the genre (horror) and doesn't create a wrong message towards the audience. The one thing we didn't like about this title was that we thought it was quite thin writing. We made sure that our next design would be a lot more bold to make sure it stands outs and links into our film plot. In order to make this font we looked through a variety of ready made titles so we could get an idea of what we wanted and then designed and made it on paint and photo shop. This made sure that we got the right look that we wanted at that time however it was not exactly what we wanted.

This is the second font we found, which has many effects. This fonts suggests that the someone has written on the screen in blood due to the dripping effect and the smurring effect. However from my 'Font research' Blog from analysing fonts from published horrors, I found that in the past; horror films would have this style this would suggest blood dripping. However in now-a-days this is seen as tacky and exaggerated, which is not what we want our film to be like. This means this font may not be used due to previous research.  This was our
This was our third idea. In order to make it we used paint to begin with so we could use shapes and paint to make the design we wanted and then used photo shop to crop and make sure it was up to scratch. We reflected this idea off of our initial idea as we knew we then wanted to make it a lot more bold to ensure it stands out well. We also decided we wanted to have the background of the text to be black and the writing to be white as we thought it pursued more of a creepy effect and also would look better when we put it in our film as we are making it seem tense when the titles bang in making it give a fright to the audience. Although we liked the way the writing is set our we still didn't think it was perfect.

This is our final idea. We related both our initial idea and our third idea to make this final one that we all liked. The have used the layout of the third idea and as we liked how on the initial idea, there were scratches going across some of the letters. We wanted to add that into it and make it more obvious and exaggerated. This meant it looks even more scary and link into the name of our film "The Woods" as it can come across like the scratches are branches or bits of mud covering parts of the letters. It order to make these scratched, we added the title into paint and used the tools or he paint brush and pencil to make the effect of scratches and splats. This took us a while as it was very hard to make it look effective without it looking like they are plain straight lines cutting up the letters.

Location Research.

Birds eye view of the location we have chosen for part of the film.

We are planning on opening the two minutes in some woods, more specifically Bookham woods. We will only film here for a section of our two minutes as we thought it was a good setting to include the opening credits while building tension because of the spooky atmosphere surrounding the character. The atmosphere of the woods   naturally takes you out of your comfort zone when on your own, making the audience feel on edge and as though something will happen to this character. we will include shot that make it look like someone is watching
that person which makes the audience feel even more out of there comfort zone.

We chose to record part of our two minutes in the woods in Bookham because; it is closer to the next location we are going to film our movie, it also has a very cold feel to it which sets the scene of the chilling story line. Filming in this area may be quite hard because of the amount of light as it's winter time it gets darker quicker, this might not be a bad thing as the darkness and dull complexion of the sky will set the scene of our horror movie however it means we will need to film at the right time to make sure it has a good effect and is done right.

Our second location we are planning to include in our opening two minutes is a regular home for regular middle class/working class people; using this home is a convention of most horror movies because it helps the audience feel more engaged in the film as they will be able to relate it to their everyday life, which will increase and leave fear even when the film is over because they would go home to the same lifestyle that was presented in the movie, we have included this by using mundane realism.

The house we have chosen to use for our opening two minutes is suitable as a location because of the way the interior is set out e.g. the stairs go directly to the bathroom which we are going to show in our movie to build tension, the front door is almost opposite the stairs which will allow tension to be built because it means that as soon as she enters the house the audience can see the place where the antagonist will be; making it seem even more chilling.

Location research- Woodland area

 Location one- Fetcham,Mill pond
This location could be where we begin our opening scene as the location can create an eerie effect due to the dim lighting of the lampposts. The light generated by the lamppost would  ensure the shot is gloomy and adds tension as it would not be as visible as daylight time, which means that we using the environment to create motif as we are reflecting the feelings of the antagonist and protagonist by using the atmosphere around them. However added lighting may be needed due to the limitation of light the lampposts give off, which means the camera would struggle to capture the scene due to the lack of light. Although there is a negative there is also a positive, as the general location is a very common place which would make our scene more realistic, so therefore the audience would sense an aspect of fear as they imagine themselves in the same position as the protagonist. This is many people's fears of walking down a dim lit, narrow pathway, thinking every noise is a warning that someone is behind you . On the other hand, this location may cause a slight difficulty as there is no areas for the antagonist to hide behind, which is how we are going to begin building up the tension for our opening two minutes, as this would show how close the antagonist is to our innocent protagonist, how scary! Having minor places for the antagonist to remain hidden and unknown would mean a decrease in tension which is vital for our final scene to have the biggest impact as possible, so if we do not have this it would mean we could not show us much tension as we would like too.
Location two- Epsom common
Our second location we researched was Epsom common. As you can see from the video and picture, Epsom common has lots of overhanging trees which would be fairly effective as when the darkness falls and the shadows of the branches casts, it would seem as if they are acting like hands which are trying to grab the protagonist. This would mena that we would to get the timings of our filming accurate so we can have enough natural lighting, to make it as realistic as possible, and to achieve this effect. Having lots of overhanging trees would also mean we can use our idea of having the antagonist hiding behind trees, which we would create this by making the camera act like it is the antagonist
stalking and staring at the protagonist behind trees, for example. This would make our production very dynamic as we are using various creative shots, which would provide us with a fluent production. However there is a downfall of having lots of trees, as it would result in a limitation of light, meaning we would have to produce natural- styled light so the camera can detect the scene. Epsom also has lots of paths, which could add tension as the antagonist could come from any direction. Also the ground is uneven which could lead to our protagonist on falling over as she keeps hearing noises.
Location three- Bookham common
This is our final location we found, which is known as Bookham Common. This has quite a numerous amount of trees which would make the protagonist feel as if they are close in on her, which would increase the tension. However, although there are lots of overhanging trees, there is not enough to block out all the natural light, meaning there would be a substantial light, meaning we would not need to any addition light. There are different sizes of paths, which would give us a choice of which ones to uses and we would like the perfect location for our opening two minutes. As our protagonist may get fall and cut herself; the paths within this wood can be very curvy, which means she can cut her hands on a passing trees. This woods are also closes to houses more than the others, which is a benefit as the protagonist runs home to clean her cut. This may be more effective than the others as lighting is negotiable so it would not effect the scene, unless we choose the wrong timings of filming.

Opening Horror film; The Woman in Black

The woman in black.

The opening two minutes of The Woman in Black start of with setting the audience in an old fashioned place as the directors have dressed the children who are focused on in the opening scene in old fashioned clothes, playing with a china tea set and china dolls. This makes the audience feel creeped out all ready because of the way the little girls are playing with them.

The music in the background sounds like an old fashioned children rhyme. It starts off slowly and is quite relaxing however scary because the audience know something will happen because it builds tension. As the music is creating tension all the children look behind them at the same time and all focused on the same thing; We don't get to see what they are looking at which creates an enigma towards the audience as they don't know who they are looking at.

Once the audience know they are looking at something; all the children stand up and drop whatever is in there hands, this smashes and makes the audience wonder what has happened to them because they seemed so happy before they looked behind them. They are all silent and turn towards a window, they start walking towards it and on the way standing on everything they were playing with making them all break. As they are walking towards the window the music begins to get faster and the base of it gets louder and more effecting towards the audience changing the nursery rhyme into something even scarier.

Once they arrive to the window the shot begins to zoom in and stops as they are all fitted into it. With no hesitation they all jump. As they do this the music suddenly stops and you here a cry from there mother say " my babies" this makes the audience feel shocked and know that bad things will happen throughout the film.

As the opening scene showed only children the audience then know that children will be the main focus of the film and that the children will also be the main focus for the antagonist. Children seem to be the main target because they seem vulnerable and easy to take advantage on. We do not see the antagonist in the opening scene which creates an enigma as the audience will want to know more about them so they can look out for it throughout the film.

The target audience for this film is 15 years and above. They have made sure that they have got this across well by the music and differnt shots they have chosen thrioughout the opening twov minutes. They have made sure it isnt too scary however making sure it still makes the teenages and above jump and feel intuged to watch the rest of it.

Soundtrack Research

Our film soundtrack

For our film soundtrack we will be making our own music but making sure we get the right sound so that it creates the right effect on our main target audience. We will use a piano and guitar to make our music and then we will edit it when it has been put on a computer to layer it on top of each other and make a tension building and creepy piece of music. We will start it off being slow and quiet and as the piece of music goes on we will make it get louder and faster to create tension within the audience.

Horror Soundtrack

The sound track that is usually in films is tension building and scary music. It usually starts off quietly and as the antagonist gets closer it will get louder and louder; this allows the audience to build tension therefore when the antagonist is shown it makes it a lot more jumpy compared to if there was no music as there would be no build up. One good soundtrack which shows the build up well however it is for a horror/thriller is Jaws. It is a film about sharks attacking people and as soon as you hear the music you know the shark is someone and that the people who are in/ near the water are in danger. The soundtrack starts off slowly and as the shark gets closer it gets faster and louder making the audience build tension and jump more when the shark catches the person. The sound track which shows the tension build well is below.

Action soundtrack

Action sound tracks are usually very fast pace and sound a little like an orchestra. This makes the audience feel like they need to get away quickly and something bad might happen. It also makes the audience feel as if there will be some explosion about to happen as the build up of music makes it sound as if there will be aloud bang at the end of it. As the pace of the soundtrack is very fast it suits the camera shot that are used in action films as they are always very fast to make it seem as if they are moving quickly and fighting well. A typical time that this music would be shown in action films is when there is a car chase scene or a fight scene as the camera shots and sound track need to fit in well together.

Romance Soundtrack

The type of soundtrack that is played in romantic films is quite slow however can become quite fast when a scene is being shown when a couple are running after each other and so on. The music is always light hear ted and happy as romantic films always end up happily ever after and the couple always end up together. Slow music can also be played in romantic films if there is a love scene or just a scene where they are having a deep conversation. The type of music can also change when a bad character comes it, the music can become faster and less light heartened to show the audience that they are not wanted in the relationship- the sort of characters that this music is related to can be the interfering mother, the jealous ex boyfriend or the jealous sister/brother.

Analysed Horror Opening.

Opening of Paranormal Activity

See clip to watch begging two minutes.

The openign two minutes of Paranormal activity shows a man documenting his home. He takes a trip around his home and shows the audience the whole house. As he is doing this he tells the audience which rooms are which and on some of them say's what he will change to them. This makes the audience think that they have just moved in even though they have not said this. With the audience thinking they have just moved in creates a huge enigma as they don't know the house very well and can make them not feel very comfortable in what they are watching.

As it is a documentary there is no music which can be seen as unusual however can make the audience feel even more scared because the film is using mundane realism even more making them be able to relate it to there own lives creating more tension and more scary.

When the two minutes begins to be over and it gets later into the film quiet, tension building music begins to be played. This makes the audience think that something bad is about to happen. When the music comes in the man is walking towards the garage and acts as if it is scary but shaking his hand and going up to grab the door handle. This makes tension in the audience because we never actually get to see inside the garage as the shot cuts straight away back into the kitchen. This creates enigma and will cause the audience to feel scared every time the garage is shown later in the film.

When the man is waking around, later on in the opening he says "where's Sarah" as we don't know who Sarah is this creates enigma and he is asking where she is. This makes the audience think that she will be one of the main characters in the film and could either go missing later on in the film or will be the main subject to the antagonist.

We only see the man who is holding the camera once and this is when he is walking into a room and waves at the refection of himself in the mirror - we still do not see him exactly within the first couple of minutes. This creates an enigma toward the audience and takes his identity away from him which comes across scary as people want to know what he looks like so they can see whether he will be a scary person involved in the film as they can look for the stereotypes to put it together.

Questionnaire for our film.

This is our questionnaire, we gave this to 50 random people in the public. It was very important that we made our questionnaire reliable because we needed to get the right answer so that we could make the right decisions. We gave the questionnaire to a mix of females and males and at all different age ranges from 15 and above to make sure it wasn't bias. If we did this questionnaire wrong it would make our film fail as it is essential we got it right.

Certificate Research

This logo U is shown in the cinema to show the target audience that it is suitable for all audiences. This means that if you are just a baby you will be able to go and see it. The things that are usually involved in these types of films are that it would be most likely a cartoon film and include nothing scary. One film which is rated U is Barbie; this film is a story about a pretty girl who meets her price charming and lives happily ever after. Nothing majorly distressing will ever happen in U rated films as they need to be suitable for young children.

The logo PG means Parent Guide, You need to be 8 years of age and over to be able to see a PG film without a parent with you.The storyline tends to get deeper in PG rated films and can include some scary and jumpy scenes but notjhing too big. Lots of these filmsa re still cartoons however you can still get fims that are real life people for PG rated films. A film which is extremly popular and PG rated is Shrek. This is a film about and Ogre who seems extremly scary at first yet is a very light hearted creature who falls in love with a prnicess who turns into and ogre at the strike of mid night. This story has a meaning to it aswel as being funny, a little scary and exiting for a younger age group.

The logo and rating 12 means that age groups of 12 and above can watch this film with no adult present. These types of films get a lot scarier compared to PG rated films and have alot better storyline. They are suited for adults as well as young teenagers which mean they would need to make it interesting and good storyline to keep them intuiged. A film which is rated 12 is Woman in Black. This is a horror film which is very scary and there is a huge contrast between this 12 rated film compared to Shrek PG rated film.
The Logo and rating for 12A means that if you are 12 it is advised that you have an adult with you to watch the film as it can either include lots of scary scenes if it is a horror or maybe sexd scenes or swearing and if the child isnt comfortable they will need to be taken out by the adult.

Own film Idea brainstorm

Own film Idea brainstorm

Idea 1- The woods

We would start our film out in Bookham woods. These woods have trees that surround the pathway and look very creepy. This sets a good first mood for the audience. The main character would be walking down this empty path whilst the credits come in. In the background the audience will see a random child in the background with long blonde hair; however the main character will not see this.  The vulnerable girl will arrive at her house and chuck all her bags down, go upstairs into her bathroom and rinse her face with water. She’ll hear a noise outside so will look through her key hole which looks straight down the stairs and into the hall. Nothing will be there but she will feel a little scared as she is home alone; from being scared she decides to lock the bathroom door to make her feel safer. When she does this she suddenly hears a noise coming from behind the shower curtain, as she pulls it away she see’s I the antagonist standing there with a mask on and a knife in his hand.  As she screams the Title of ‘The Woods’ comes in. See story board one for full explanation.

Idea 2 – Trapped

The beginning would start of in the woods again, a boyfriend and girlfriend will be walking down laughing and holding hands, it will be like a normal day. As they begin to walk past a house they hear a scream a stop walking for a second. The shot will quickly change to a girl sitting in a plain garage with her hand and legs tied together so she can’t get away, she will be looking around the room however not moving or saying anything. Around her will be 5 or 6 other people panicking and running around very scared. Whilst this shot will be showing it,  it would be shown in flashes with a heartbeat in the background to make it seem scarier towards the audience; a door will slam open and an outline of a tall, broad man will appear. The shot will quickly flash back to the boyfriend and girlfriend; the boyfriend will be wanting to leave and seem a lot more scared than the girlfriend as she will seem hesitant to leave for some reason (subverts the stereotype) She will leave anyway but keep looking back.

Idea 3 – Hijacked

The beginning would be a group of people walking through the woods, either to one of there houses or just on a walk. Clips of a car driving past will be shown a couple of times to build tension and make the audience have an ia that a car will be involved. One person will walk out into the road as the car comes round a corner and will be hit. The driver will get out of his car cautiously and worried as he would be sure what he hit and if its okay. When he gets out of the car to look there is nothing there. He would be confused and check again however he is positive that he did not hit anything. He gets back in his car and adjusts his mirror so he can see everything clearly. As he does this a man is sitting on the back seat and all he sees is a knife come towards the mirror. As the knife is about to stab him, the title comes in with a bang.
Idea 4 - HiJack
HiJack is our final idea. The film will start off with a girl walking through Bookham woods. These woods have trees that surround the pathway and look very creepy. shw would beby herself making her way home. As she is walking through the empty woods her phone rings, it is jack (her boyfriend) , she answers and says "hi jack?" there is no reply but just very heavy breathing she then hears a scream. She drops her phone and starts running to her house because she begins to get scared. As she arrives at her house the door is slightly open, she opens it slowly and hears water running from the tap in the bathroom. She she heads straight upstairs to turn it off and to have a look. She begins to hear a drip from behind the shower curtain so moves the curtain aside. She sees jack hanging there with the antagonist beind him. A knife will then come towards her and as its about to hit her the title will come in.

Idea 5 - The Five Drownings

Final idea- The film will start off with a girl walking through Bookham woods. These woods have trees that surround the pathway and look very creepy. shw would be by erself making her way home. As she is walking through the empty woods her phone rings. A shot is quickly zoomed in on her face and then she begins to run home as she drops her phone. We would use heart beats to seperate the shots but still keep them at a fast pace. Shell arrive home and run up the stairs as she'll see the door is open and the light is on. She hessitanly walks into the bathroom and sees the mess everywhere. as she creeps up to the shower curtain and quickly pulls it away. The shot will quickly jump to a person who has been drowned in the bath laying there still with there eyes open. The titles will then boom in with loud music.
